Changing how green coffee works. Osito is a green coffee and cacao supplier based in the US, Europe, and Australia. Founded in 2014, it’s a business that imports and sells product to some of the world’s best coffee roasters. We partnered with their team to build a new automated website that does the heavy lifting for them.

Changing how green coffee works

Our partnership with Osito focused on the opportunity to rethink how they sold coffee and interacted with their online audience. Until now, it was an exceptionally manual process for site management and sales.
We knew the site had to be simple, yet we wanted to introduce some of the visual characteristics of the organic side of the business – then we stumbled across Osito’s coffee sacks.
Burlap isn’t generally considered a beautiful material – it’s rough, cheap, and chucked around. We realised that without it, we wouldn’t have the variety and choice of coffee, chocolate, and more in our everyday lives. It may not look beautiful at first glance, but what it does is something beautiful.
We brought the burlap sacks into our designs. From colour schemes to the textures used, the site has an organic and natural feel whilst retaining exceptional efficiency and a clear focus on great user-experience.
The point?
To make a website with a net-zero approach to stock and content updates.
We redesigned and rebuilt the Osito website to bring the stories of the business alongside key functionality that avoids manual web updates – when the team updates their stock levels on their spreadsheets, the site automatically pulls in the relevant information. We’ve ensured that 100% accurate and up-to-date information is online instantly, without the team needing to lift a finger.
This was the key deliverable for the project – to make website updates take place when the team takes care of regular stock management. Now Kyle and the team don’t have to touch the website, outside of some blogs or photo updates, and it stays completely up-to-speed with the necessary information at all times.
Essentially, it’s a website that updates itself every 15 mins.

“Hundred Studio nailed the technical and aesthetic challenges on our website. We needed something clean and new, but also capable of handling constantly changing datasets. They were available every step along the way and patient to bring us along on an exceptionally creative journey.“
